If you have been reading tarot long enough, there comes a point when you are chased by a card which happens to come out in all your readings. My stalker was the Hierophant and here is my story....

The Hierophant is known as the High Priest - the Pope.
The Hierophant represents tradition, conformity, marriage, institutions, commitment, spiritual beliefs, values, knowledge sharing, and social groups. It also represents the sign of Taurus.
I have been reading tarot since high school but after 2012, my practice increased significantly. The more I dedicated myself to the study of Tarot, the more my intuition increased bring about a great serenity of spirit. My higher self and spirit guides kept sending me the same message over and over again. The message was on a loop and I already knew what the cards would say. Even in the state my life was at, preparation was key and I knew better than to rush.
At the end of 2019, I had been rocked by several rough events in rapid succession. The North Node in Gemini started with a tough course correction in my life. People, places, and things were removed abruptly from my life; both by fate and own doing. At a point in my life of great uncertainty, I somehow felt still. So, I let everything just fall away that no longer belonged in my life. I knew that I wanted my life to be better and decided follow my inner calling.
Guided to embody the Hierophant.
Any one on a spiritual path will have become familiar with shadow work. Shadow work is when we look at our darkest inner aspects and bring light and healing to ourselves through acceptance and understanding. When you look at your shadow, you must observe not only what you do not like but your responsibility in the matter. As much as things hurt, shame, or embarrass you, you need to introspect on your role. I acknowledge that I could not change my past but I could learn from it in order to move forward. I know that the things within my control are my beliefs, perspective, attitude, and actions. I decided I need to take control over what I could and course correct my life path.
I decided to improve my life by changing my mind and thought patterns. When I reconciled my personal values, I knew there were friendships that I could no longer keep and chose to walk away. My work place did not live up to the values they had set and became a very toxic place to work; I walked out. Even my own home suffocated me and I chose to relocate. I managed to calm myself even when I was surrounded by disarray. I found clarity by examining my experiences of hurt, pain, betrayal, and defeat. Then, I became determined to apply it in all aspects of my life.
We all have a purpose and as peaceful as it may be to be still, one must eventually move forward. I am thankful to have friends who also practice tarot. The more my tarot improved and by the context in which the card appeared it, my path became evident. The most valuable tool in my journey was tarot and I decided to share the wisdom I had learned by reading for others. I had to forsake many things and people to pursue what my intuition was guiding me to do. My tribe was very supportive and walked alongside me every step of the way.

I live my values by clearly defining them, identifying when they were out of alignment, and recommitting to them. The Hierophant's hand is raised in a act of benediction and it represents a blessing. I walk ahead fully knowing I am protected.
